Restore Your Smile and Confidence with Natural-Looking Implants

Your path to a complete, functional smile starts here. Our advanced implant technology creates natural-looking replacements that function just like your original teeth. Experience our commitment to excellence at every step, from consultation to placement.

Let us restore your confidence and quality of life.

Dental Implant Services Offered

Single Tooth Replacement: Ideal for replacing a single missing tooth without altering adjacent teeth, preserving overall dental health and integrity.

Multiple Teeth Replacement: Implants can support bridgework for patients missing several teeth, eliminating the need for partial dentures.

Complete Arch Replacement: Implants can support full dentures, providing a more stable and comfortable solution than traditional dentures.

Bone Grafting for Implant Success: In cases where bone density is insufficient for implant placement, we offer bone grafting to ensure a solid foundation for the implants.

What Is a Dental Implant?

Dental implants are a revolutionary solution for replacing missing teeth. These biocompatible titanium posts act as artificial tooth roots, surgically placed into your jawbone. Over time, a natural process called osseointegration occurs, where the implant fuses with the bone for a strong and stable foundation.

This allows us to attach a natural-looking crown (artificial tooth) to the implant, restoring your smile’s aesthetics and full functionality.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants offer numerous benefits over traditional bridges or dentures:

Long-lasting: Implants can last a lifetime with proper care, unlike dentures or bridges that may need to be replaced every few years.

Natural look and feel: Implants look and function just like your natural teeth, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Improved oral health: Implants prevent bone loss in the jaw, which is a common issue with missing teeth.

Increased confidence: A complete smile can significantly boost your self-esteem and quality of life.

How Long Does It Take?

Dental implants typically involve two stages taking 6 weeks to 6 months, depending on bone health, infection, and possible bone grafting.

Dental Implant Treatment: 5 Key Stages

  1. Consultation and treatment planning: A face-to-face appointment where we will take X-rays and 3D imaging to assess your mouth’s health and create a personalised treatment plan, including temporary solutions for missing front teeth. Before proceeding, we’ll ensure you understand the implant process, recovery, and costs.
  2. Implant placement: A minor surgical procedure with local anaesthesia (sedation optional), your surgeon inserts the implant after any needed tooth removal and ensures the area is ready for healing. Expect some post-surgical discomfort and stitches to aid gum healing.
  3. Healing and review: 1 to 2 weeks after the implant is placed, patients are seen for a review to ensure early healing is as expected and to remove the sutures. With this confirmed, the implant will be left undisturbed to heal which can take up to 2 to 3 months, but can occasionally be longer.
  4. Restoration of the implant: We’ll then fit the permanent replacement which commonly requires 2 or more appointments. At the first appointment, an impression or a digital scan is taken of the teeth and the implant position. This impression or scan is sent to a dental laboratory to make a custom restoration (crown, bridge or denture).
  5. Review and maintenance: After your restoration is placed, follow-up appointments and regular dental hygiene are crucial to maintain your implant’s success and prevent gum disease.

At Alma Road Dental, we are dedicated to providing our patients with high-quality dental implant services, from the initial consultation to the final restoration. Our goal is to help you achieve a healthy, beautiful smile through personalised, advanced dental care.
