At Alma Road Dental, our team consists of highly experienced and exceptionally skilled clinicians, supported by a friendly and dedicated team. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care and look forward to welcoming you soon.
Richard, along with Sachin and Anthony, is one of the 3 partners at Alma Road Dental, having taken over from Chris Nixon mid-2022. Richard’s fields of expertise are root canal treatment and apical surgery (apicectomy). The aim of this work is to eliminate infections and pain/discomfort, thus helping return teeth to health so that they can continue to function comfortably. This work complements that of his 2 partners in ensuring comprehensive care can be delivered to patients.

Richard completed his dental undergraduate training in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and upon graduating moved back to the UK, having been born in London and living in Surrey for many years. His specialist training was completed at Guy’s Dental Hospital, London Bridge.
Alongside his clinical commitments, Richard is SEO for the Langham Endodontic Study Club, a study group of fellow root canal specialists which attracts international and domestic speakers to its meetings which are held 3 times per year. He is also a member of the British Endodontic Society, regularly attending the society’s conferences.
Prior to completing his dental training, Richard completed a degree in Law and Commerce at University College Dublin, Ireland.
Richard accepts referrals for root canal treatments, apical surgery and vital pulp treatments.
Sachin Varma is one of the partners at Alma Road Dental. He is also a Consultant in Prosthodontics at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital Trust.

He has been a Specialist in Prosthodontics since 2007. Sachin still plays an active role there in training both postgraduate and undergraduate dentists. He has a vast knowledge and experience in implant dentistry and takes great pleasure in sharing his skills. Sachin offers a mentoring service to referring dentists.
He has a extensive knowledge of implant dentistry, having placed thousands of implants since 2004. He successfully runs a referral practice in Surrey, where the vast majority of his work involves complex cases. Sachin pays particular attention to aesthetics, not only does he offer high-end dental implants, but he also provides tooth build ups with composite bonding techniques, crowns and veneers where required to improve smiles.
He has recently given a lecture on implant dentistry at the Internal College of Prosthodontics. He has written and contributed in scholarly articles in implant dentistry, crowns, and the treatment for tooth wear.
Anthony Lam is an internationally recognised Specialist Orthodontist. He is a clinical teacher in Orthodontics at Guy’s Hospital, London, and a member of a number of local and international Orthodontic Societies.

He qualified as a dentist at the University of Melbourne and then gained an MSc in Orthodontics at the University of London. He is the recipient of the Professor Philip Walther Prize for outstanding performance as part of his MSc and obtained membership of The Royal College of Surgeons upon qualification. Since then, he has worked in private orthodontic practice in the South East region.
He is also a Clinical Teacher in Orthodontics at Guy’s Hospital. He is a DIAMOND Invisalign® provider. He was invited to treat the winner of the UK-wide competition ‘Invisalign® Changed my Life’ and is part of Invisalign®‘s ‘Smile Squad’. His main areas of interest are invisible braces, cosmetic orthodontic braces including Suresmile Advanced® brace technology, Lingual Braces such as Incognito™ and In-Ovation L®, Invisalign® and Damon™ Braces.
Dr Nivethiny Nathan trained in orthodontics at the prestigious King’s College London and obtained the Membership in Orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

She has 10 years’ experience treating orthodontic patients ranging from simple malocclusion to complex case. She has special interest in using tads and power scope to manage complex cases such a severe crowding, missing teeth, increase in protrusion and jaw abnormalities.
Patients will receive a complete orthodontic assessment and all available treatment options will be discussed. The pro and cons of each option will be discussed in detail so that patient will have full information about their malocclusion. The choices of braces will be outlined in the best interest of patient including invisalign , ceramic and metal fixed appliances.

Furthering his training, Jatinder then achieved a Distinction completing the 4-year MClinDent Periodontology specialist training programme at Kings College London, Guy’s Hospital along with attaining Membership in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Jatinder has a genuine passion for periodontology and a strong commitment to delivering the most up-to-date and evidence-based treatment to his patients. He is actively involved in clinical research, has presented at national and international events, has contributed to periodontal textbooks and has had several articles published in esteemed journals.
Jatinder sees patients referred for periodontal treatment including full periodontal assessments; non-surgical periodontal treatment (professional mechanical plaque removal, PMPR); periodontal surgery for management of periodontal disease (access flap, resective, regenerative, root resection); aesthetic and functional crown lengthening; mucogingival surgery to address recession; management of peri-implant diseases; supportive periodontal care.
I have worked in dentistry for over 30 years. I qualified as a dental nurse in 1996 and remained nursing until 2 years ago alongside reception and practice management.

Anastasia qualified with Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Microbiology in Russia in 2007. After immigration to the UK shortly afterwards, she worked in the dental industry for over 10 years in various roles including working as a dental implant nurse in specialist practices across London.

In 2016 she got accepted onto training as a Dental Hygiene Therapist at King’s College London which she graduated with the best clinical skills of the year student award. Minimally invasive paediatric dentistry, implant maintenance and the prevention and treatment of peri-implant diseases are of special interest to Anastasia. She keeps abreast of all the latest concepts in dentistry and passionate about giving excellent, gentle treatments and helping patients achieve great oral health. In her spare time Anastasia is an active volunteer for Gold for Kids, charitable organisation aimed to support most vulnerable children across UK and beyond. She also has a love for photography specialising in maternity and newborn photoshoots helping her to build great rapport even with youngest patients of the practice.
Ashley relocated to Windsor in 2023 and joined the team here in September. She splits her working time between us and a practice in Chalfont St Peter. When she isn’t at work, she spends time with her young family.

Ashley qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from Kings College Hospital, London in 2017 where she received the award for ‘best research project’. Prior to this, she was a dental nurse for five years, where she gained further qualifications in dental radiography and oral health education, achieving Grade A for ‘outstanding performance’. This all stemmed from a weeks’ work experience aged 15, which first gave Ashley something to get her teeth into.
Ashley has worked in general dental practice and has also spent 5 years working in a specialist periodontal practice. She enjoys working alongside dentists and periodontal specialists, helping to prevent gum disease, promote optimal oral health and aesthetics, and carry out necessary periodontal treatments for patients with a gentle approach.
Ashley enjoys meeting new patients, and supports them through treatment creating personalised tailored oral hygiene plans and delivering a high standard of care with a patient centred approach.
Ashley believes the foundation to a healthy smile and body is through education. She regularly attends courses and conferences to keep up to date with current evidence based teaching and best practice and further enhance her skill-set to maximise treatment outcomes for patients.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and has recently started Pilates.
